TA Chicago North. I'll be here till 0100 Monday morning when I go pick up my lousy bottled water load. It's not the water that's lousy. It's the slow ### robots that load the truck that suck. A human could load it in an hour, tops. These stupid machines take 3-4 hours. At least I get detention pay. Somebody come by here and buy me dinner!

ugh. Bud in baldwinsville has those confounded robots. Had to get a rework once just remove 2 pallets to get it under gross. Nope can't do that. The #### robots had to completely unload then reload the trailer so their little computer brains could process what they were doing. 4hrs. I could have done it with a pallet jack and recompute the weight in 10 minutes lol

parked on the couch with the wife and dogs just finished watching the race. Grill time.

Sitting at the Loves in Dayton. Should get home by noon if I can drag my butt out of the bunk by 5 in the morning. These loads that get dropped on the yard with no appointment are hard to get motivated for. I want to get home but its too easy to roll over when the alarm goes off.

  7. Just found a spot, next to an MT car hauler. Hampshire,IL sitting at the TA. Road ranger down the way looked a bit hectic.

Hey who says truckers don't need to use their brains once in awhile?

After my last post and before I left the facility I decided to call in and see what progress was made. Turns out I couldn't bobtail to my next load since the customer had no empties. (A disturbing trend) so they were gonna have to remove the load to save it. Can't say I was entirely happy of facing the prospect of sitting till Monday when people who actually know what they are doing were going to be available.

I then rembered I had noticed there were 4 outbound loads ready at this facility so I had them check to see if any were available. Turns out one of them wasn't supposed to be ready until tomorrow so it hadn't been assigned to anybody yet so I got it. It's a shorty to Clearfield PA but it pays well. I have to sit on it till Monday at 0700 but I was gonna sit till Monday regardless after delivering the one I lost. Then I planned another shorty back to Cranbury NJ that pays just as much as a 650 miler to TN.

Now I'm nosed in an Idle Aire spot at the J in Carlisle. Was gonna try to squeeze a 34 in but I would come up an hour short...so I will just wake up at my leisure tomorrow grab some DD and drive over to the Sapp Bros.

The guys in the lounge here at the J want to pool their money together and see if the J will buy the fight tonight. I'm gonna bet no but it's worth a shot.

Got any room by you? Guess I'm camping overnight there. Drive home in the morning. (Wife has to pick me up and she'll be sound asleep before I hit town and I don't feel like walking 6 miles from Walmart.)
