Coming up from Shreveport on I-49 to Texarkana then on to Little Rock. Just skirted the first set of storms, but not the second. Couldn't really see parts of the road it was raining so hard. Made it to the petro in West Memphis.

was watching on the weather channel last night waiting out the rain delay for the race and they were saying it's a very unusual system out there. they were showing only 30 miles between the areas where it was pouring snow and the areas where there were severe warnings and tornado watches.

hail was so thick in places they were shoveling it off their sidewalks like snow.

just sitting here on the back porch as it's starting to rain watching the birds in the garden pulling worms out of the ground thinking what a cruel world it can be sometimes......and how there are so many parallels in life in different contexts

you're just a worm chilling in your house not bothering anyone doing your thing and then someone sticks a beak in your front door out of nowhere, drags you out by the ### and eats you lol

that's really gotta suck if you're a worm.......kinda made me think back 28 years to what it was like walking into court for my divorce lol

Spending a few more hours with mom then going down to Aberdeen MD to pick up a preload to take to Stuarts Draft. Then I will deadhead to the shipper in Lynchburg and spend the night and pick one up headed to Connecticut

Still hanging out in Clive IA. I looked at a map of Iowa counties so I now know when Polk, Dallas, Warren, or Madison comes up on the emergency broadcast banner, it's time to find a ditch to hide in.
