Rhoel is supposed to be a good safe company... it was my first experience... They don't keep unsafe drivers... their trainers are well experienced drivers.. at least mine were...
Holding the steering wheel... I remember one CDL trainer asking me if I wanted to leave my finger prints on the steering wheel...:biggrin_2559: quite funny... now...

When cruising "those guys" keep both hands on the steering wheel just in case you have to react to something while passing them...

i think in the bigger picture they're probably better than most training companies but the fact they let drivers with only a year experience train speaks volumes. anyone with only a year in the seat has no business training. I've seen those guys rip off fairings trying to turn too tight and one drop a trailer just being a jerk last winter but again, I see less of that stuff with roehl than most of the others. any company that has more than a few trucks there's always going to be some no driving wonders in the bunch

anyone so scared to be behind the seat that it's visually obvious when you pass them was turned loose too early.....although I guess to his credit he was going slowly and not trying to roll down the road against the speed limiter

That's correct gentlemen... I left that Love's at 5:30 am central time on 05/06 and I was RUSHING... Then, I parked in Lake Havazu, AZ, then left at 3:30 am on 05/07 and delivered in Paramount, CA... Hey, if Otter can read this, THANK you for the info man...
After delivery in Paramount and going thru lots of traffic, quick drop and hook in Ontario and headed to another truck stop in Salome, AZ... couldn't make it to Blue Beacon on that same day... But got truck washed on 05/08 at 4 am central time in Phoenix, AZ and then headed to event...

Pollen was awful in TN all the way to OK and NM... Got hay fever on my way back from Calif... pain all over my body.... but it went away... I'm ok now. Seems there's no pollen here in TX... at least not feeling any right now... lots of winds and some thunderstorms...

yeah unfortunately they do......or did at least. there's at least one member on here with them who they made a trainer at a year. pretty full of himself didn't see anything wrong with it. haven't seen him posting anywhere in awhile.

I trained as well but my previous company required 3 years to train. they came to me after my 2nd winter and asked if I would but only because of demonstrated performance, no accidents or incidents, perfect record, ect ect. I wouldn't even have considered doing it before then.

one year just isn't anywhere near enough to be training newbies.
