On the Ohio toll road, service plaza just outside Amherst ...took it easy today after getting jerked around at the rail yard in Joliet (thanks to my company , not Union Pacific themselves), oh well I only got to make Jessup, MD tomorrow ..I think I will be ok. Get to spend to the early week in the Baltimore / DC area...guess they are trying to make me appreciate Chicagoland. Did find a new hidey spot in the Chicagoland area, got 2 now..and I'm not telling lol.

My first Roehl trainer used to tell me that I should be able to say, at any time where east - west - north and south were... and before parking anywhere, I should be able to know what kind of ground it was, concrete, asphalt, etc, etc..

My "event" last Friday was on the street right in front of receiver's building.. And some freezing rain started right after I parked to be unloaded...

They put chairs in front and behind truck so nobody could park and I had room to maneuver...

Weird weather... lots of clouds, then sun and a lot of wind...
After that delivery, pick up a load in Glendale, AZ and headed to another truck stop...

In Phoenix, AZ... Got a decent parking spot... Lots of empty spots much closer to building but I preferred to be in the back where it was more quiet and I could use some walking as my only exercise... :yes2557:

Left very early in the morning, it was still dark... that's the way I like... Love to see the sunrise on the road...

Yes... Mr. FatDaddy, it feels very good to be back on the road... :Straight road:

On I-10 E somewhere in AZ... or maybe NM... :biggrin_25526:

Yesterday I parked on this lot across from Walmart in Fort Stockton, TX...

Was going to park at Stripes on the other side of the road... or could have gone to FJ on the next exit eastbound... but after doing my groceries, decided to save me some time on elog and stayed right there... Cop told me that was a "ok" place to park for 10 hr break... Did my cooking, slept and left at 2:30 am this morning...

    Now parked here... in TX

Got this great parking space where nobody is supposed to bother me and will be easy to leave in the morning. Will deliver about 19 miles south east of here, nearby Houston...

Gilla Bend, Not enough time on the 70 to hit Yuma (15 minutes short).

I need to yell at my dispatcher... Um.. never mind. Don't think I have a mirror in the truck.

Parked at the Love's in Dickson, TN. 85 miles from my delivery in Shelbyville tomorrow morning. Found a good shortcut to avoid the backups that occur at the 40/240 interchange construction. All legal marked truck routes too.

Only pulling 11k and that's earned me an 8.9 mpg average right now. Good job me.

You were able to pick and choose spots at the Phoenix J? Impossible!

Watching the tornado channel tonight. Looks like the action at the moment is about 20 miles west of where I left Friday.
