I hate Peoplenet, where are you parked and recipes thread

When I worked in receiving at a Walmart store I had the option of refusing a dry I grocery load until they were scheduled which was anytime after 1700. If it was a whole trailer and a drop and hook, no problem. I would the sign the drivers copy, hand him a new set of bills if it was a pallet back haul and send him on his way.

If it was a partial load and I didn't have room, I would tell the driver to hit the bunk until the afternoon. The Walmart drivers didn't like being refused lol.

 

At least you'd tell them to go take a nap or hit the bunk. I've gotten less tolerable of just staying up waiting, but it'd be nice if they let you know in advance if you'll be out of there quick or if you'll be waiting a bit.

 

I felt bad because I had been a driver and knew how it messed with your time but if I don't have room I don't have room.

My shift ended at 8am. That gave them time for an 8 hour split break.

It was the morons at the DC dispatching them too early.
