one of the orange juice coke plants in Florida has robot loading
so they have pipe rails come out of the dock to align everyone perfectly no more then a couple inches either side
i backed more then one truck in there for someone
one guy my age was almost in tears
i didn't even feel cranky towards him
funny part is I am really not much in reverse might have hit a dock once in last 5 years without a pull up

Came back out to the truck to charge the batteries, charge my phone and put my clothes away.

Buddy calls me and as I'm sitting in the driver's seat on my phone the driver in the truck next to me opens the door to a rat's nest in the front seat footwell. Paper towels, empty bottles, half filled ones of...well guess.

He fishes for a few of the cleaner used paper towels, shuts the door and proceeds to wash his headlamps.

Don't know what he did with those paper towels when he was finished, I'm going to assume he just tossed them back on the rat's nest.

And to think I hate having a tied off full trash bag in the footwell until I fuel/park and find a trash can.

When TruckDuo and I checked out Ukumfe's truck after our lunch in Chitown, he apologized for the mess. His truck was pristine compared to this one I saw.

    I'm still not a good backer... :biggrin_25512:
Came to this truck stop here and didn't find many empty spots... and all of the best spots were taken... :biggrin_2557: So.. I circumnavigated the parking lot and don't know why... I decided to do a quasi blind side... well for some it might be almost straight back considering there's some good space in front of the spot.... anyway... I didn't take very long... but someone started spottering for me... but I had to go out and look.. and so he left... I wasn't doing bad but the truck to my right, which was parked facing the opposite way, decided to pull up some so to give me more room to finish my backing... Which made me wonder... hmmm... was I doing so bad for him to move his trailer away from me...? I don't think so... but I thanked him anyway... :biggrin_25519:
I always feel somehow embarrassed every time I don't back like a pro cause this truck and trailer has decals everywhere that say this co. is safety award winner, best fleet, etc, etc, etc...
    And now here I am...

This time, very close to the building... for a change...

Well it turns out that she probably has food poisoning. Was not expecting that. Got a room at the La Quinta in Dallas till Monday. We always stay at La Quinta because of the discount our company gets and they don't charge for pets. Anyone been to one recently ? They've really stepped up their game.

Too bad my cousin Sarah doesn't still live in Dallas. I'd have her hook you up with a ride to Walmart or something.

Years ago an oil company near my grandparents had fumes coming off their drainage ponds that exceeded acceptable EPA levels. They were required to put the whole area up in motels until they cleaned it up. We were at my grandparents for the summer and we were put up at the La Quinta Inn in Farmington, NM. Really nice back then.

Found out something interesting. Our hotel is in the center of where all the strip clubs are in Dallas.

I told my wife this and warned her things might get rowdy at night so I think it's best if I stay in the truck during the night to make sure no one breaks in. She doesn't think it's a good idea but might have to override her on this one......for the safety of our truck. :3some:

Sarah, my cousin, took me to a good restaurant there in downtown Dallas. I'm trying to remember the name. I got stuck there on a breakdown.
