About the avatar... I took a snapshot with my webcam at home and put it on my Skype account... whereupon my eldest stepdaughter made the comment I looked like Shreck, so, out came photoshop and a little doctoring... and an avatar was born. I use a slightly altered one for fartbook.

 

I've got one of those except it's an '83.

Prospector edition. Good truck. You can't hurt it no matter what you do to it. Not the easiest thing to find parts for anymore though.

 

I get to get into a Volvo next week much to my dismay.

Shop just called. The little crack in my windshield I wrote up Friday ran about 2 ft up the windshield when they got in and closed the door to pull it into the shop and can't get it replaced till Monday.

 

Ouch... I've lost count of the windshields I've replaced in the past 3 years... seems I get more cracked running slower.

 

Never heard anything hit this one. Just got a small 2 inch crack bottom left corner noticed it when I got up Thursday morning. Ran about another 2" Friday by the time I got home.

Shop told me they'd just replaced one this week that did the same thing in the same place. Assured me they'd get someone out today to get it done. Didn't happen.

 

For me it's always a dump truck. Missing mudflaps or broken. Always. Whatevers on the road goes straight to my windshield. I do everything I can to avoid them

 

I had a 72... miss it more than than the X that gave it away. Only 318 engine I've ever seen with the timing 2° AFTER TDC. Ice cold, bump the starter and away you go. I could change the plugs with a speed handle thanks to all the room in there.
