Speaking of showing our age. I got a text from my 12 year old daughter asking who the old guys were playing on Billboard Music awards last night. She was serious. Since I didn't even know they were on I jumped on Twitter to find out who was playing. Turns out it was Van Halen. Worst part about that is I don't even consider them old.

When you see celebrities from TV shows of your childhood featured in commercials for products and services targeted at old people, you might just be.....

Yeah that really sucks. That's one of the biggest reason I don't go out and play live very much anymore. That music isn't what the crowds in the bars listen to anymore and is now considered 'classic' rock and/or oldies. Kinda been relegated to doing festivals/biker parties and the like. I still go out and do a few from time to time but I'm getting older and the crowds are getting younger. Pretty soon I'll be playing allmans and skynyrd and van halen and Stevie Ray Vaughn in retirement homes lol

Another tell is the word "era." Once a word used to describe various timelines when discussing dinosaur evolution. I've recently discovered channel 25 on Sirius. Classic Rewind. Their tagline: Rock music from the cassette tape era. Really? Is that actually an era?

To their credit, they put Keith Roth on there from Hair Nation. Not much better than a DJ like that who was probably once in the band he's talking about.

Anything after Diamond Dave quit the band doesn't count.

We have the 12v wet/dry that you can pickup at any truckstop... It works ok... Not a Hoover, but it works.

My wife grabbed a cheap little one from big lots. 12v mini shop vac knockoff. Works great no more than what I need it for.
