Those are usually either Deutsch connectors (on a CAT anyway), or GM Weatherpak. I actually have a Weatherpak repair kit and terminal tools from a long ago past life working on cars for a living. Used to be NAPA was my go-to place for repair pigtails, but they've gone all Pep Boys lately. Better selection of waxes and air fresheners than actual useful parts. Oddly, I've seen Autozone mentioned more frequently as having a decent selection of repair pigtails. I've also been impressed with the quality of online ordering available the last few times I've needed oddball electrical bits and pieces. Of course, that's great if you don't need something right now.
Edited to add: Thanks for the tip on the South Bend KW parts dept. Always good to know a few that actually make an effort to find stuff for you. Even better if they don't try to earn this month's store profit off of one sale ***cough**cough** MHC Gainesville GA***cough**cough**ahem.
I hate Peoplenet, where are you parked and recipes thread

Sometimes it's as if dispatch looks for the most inconvenient, inhospitable, truck unfriendly places to pick up.
GPS directed me off a road from NJ18 that when I was just about to get off had one of those "Trucks over 4 tons excluded" signs just as you are about to exit. Nice. Would have been more helpful a half mile back. -
while the newer cats&much of the construction industry has moved to Deutch.....many older models r still the cheaper..6/8/12 prong connectors&for those of u Not familiar w/Deutch....you should be...they rock...easiest connector I've ever used....relatively inexpensive...waterproof....we've upgraded all the connectors on my accert to them&just rewired a friends rats nest older sportster....cleanly in no time at all...
IMHO....a Deutsch tool&set of multiple connectors is a must carry&of course another set at home..

sitting back at the home DC playing hurry up and wait to see what I get in the load lottery. 'call back in 30 minutes'.......that's the standard script when they have no clue what they're going to give you because you're in the wrong area or in my case, wrong time of day. this late in the day on Monday it probably won't be much. no sense in it really since they've known where I was going to be and when since 1900 yesterday.TruckDuo Thanks this. -
My whole 2 1/2 hours of on duty time got me to Ft. Wayne at the Pilot. Parked in the back by the Beacon keeping my eye on the line waiting for it to get less than 15 deep so I can drop the trailer and give this ol dirty girl a bath.
Will be able to drop in Buffalo a day early which used to be a good thing but my lady friend up here has informed me she started dating somebody but she will still meet for dinner if I want. -
oh and on that NJ thing below I 195 it starts to become civilized
by the time you get to Fat Daddy world and take the backroads over to Cape May it is actually livableFatDaddy Thanks this. -
Ray's truck wash across the street had 2 bays to the Beacon's one and no wait so I went over there. Nice honest folk who did a thorough hand wash. When I told them I wanted to pay extra for the engine degreasing the attendant told me I didn't need it he would get it clean without it. I appreciated the honesty and told him to do it anyway. The line at the Beacon is still 12 deep
peterbilt_2005, tsavory and TruckDuo Thank this.
