parked at the ratty #### hole pilot in Kannapolis. the plan was to hit the rest area after I fueled 3 miles farther down but this time of day it's hit or miss if there's a spot so when I pulled out of the fuel lane and a guy pulled out I pounced on the spot. that's about the only way to get parked here anytime other than the middle of the day.

as expected that late in the day rolling into the DC I got a 62 mile #### run to charlotte for 7am live unload. but I took it and got out of there while the 5 other guys crying about there not being any 'good' loads are still sitting there getting paid nothing until the furniture loads drop overnight. they haven't done the math on these short ones. milage+hook pay+live unload pay pushes the rate/mile on this one to .845/mile. i'll take it lol and move while they sit and already ran 475 down from leesport today. that's not a bad way to end the day and I got to within 15 miles of the unload in the morning.

Well, got loaded round 1. 82100. Go back and drain some off. Round 2. 79820. Nope, not on a quarter tank of fuel. Round 3. 79340 and go away. So much for getting 100 gal in Joplin. Car scale it. Under gross, but 340 over on trailer. Uugh. I ended up with 48,220 of product. AND, it's a hazmat load. Discovered that gem when they handed me the placcards.

Still alive , got to spend the weekend in Waco with a head cold and a lack of freight apparently. Least I didn't get shot, interesting Sunday I tell ya. Now on a load due in Phoenix Wednesday in the am, I'm already at the peelot in Van Horn...think I will be alright.

I've been tending to look more at $ per day than pay per mile.

There have been some interesting loads on the board but they are requiring 3 or 4 days time but only paying for 2.days of miles.
