Gotta be careful on that section of 26 especially coming east from Asheville down to Spartanburg. I like running it though just came through there last week.
Nothing like the old roads before that section of 26 was built. I remember as a kid riding with my uncle in his white 7000 and later W9 coming from Asheville down 25 through tuxedo to Greenville or 176 through saluda to Spartanburg. Pretty hairy ride in those old trucks spring ride and no jakes. Old apc tankers and IH 4070's everywhere. Rarely ever saw a wreck and the road was steep winding and tight. Imagine that.
I hate Peoplenet, where are you parked and recipes thread

Yes... I know that road I-26 "pretty" well...used to go a lot to WM DC in Shelby... As a matter of fact.... I once got a ticket on that I-26 near mm 56 right pass Saluda...
Officer said I was on restricted lane (left lane)... I knew I was not cause I saw the sign saying the restriction had ended... and I was trying to pass a car that was going 45 mph....
Anyway, got that ticket changed to "speedometer malfunction" and it didn't show on my records... Just the "warning" for "speeding"... which I was not either... Oh well... it's long gone now... And NOW, every time I pass that place, I remember and take extra care...

Taking an 8 in the I-20 EB rest area near Forest, MS. The original plan was to walk the dog then have a sandwich and keep going. Instead, I made an executive decision not to be a hard charger today and get back on a daytime sleep schedule. Some days it pays to be the boss.
wore out, Rocks, TruckDuo and 1 other person Thank this. -
559 in the books today. Running on recaps so I have to keep it tame so I can run hard get paid tomorrow @pattyj . Shelby Iowa loves where I'll try to nurse this case of strep throat. Tried to overdose on chloraseptic but no dice. Still hurts good thing is I have no appetite so I can shed a few pounds hopefully.

When I take her and the big one to the store on Sundays to get the coupon papers for the wife I have to remember to lock the windows when I go in. She learned how to let them down and will jump out of the car and follow me into the store. I can look back at her sometimes pressing the button with her paw wondering why the #### window won't go down she knows that what makes it move.TruckDuo Thanks this. -
