Only 1000 posts in the past 36 hours, slackers. Speed reading, mostly pictures. Now perched in my valet space at the Greencastle TA until an hour before checkout time this afternoon. Lady at the counter asked if I knew how this worked, referring to their reserved parking ritual. I told her I was getting my name stenciled on it for Saturdays so she could save a little paper and tape.

@flyingmusician will like this one. My private pilot instructor was basically an OG as those guys go, probably around 70 yrs old. He's also an FAA designated examiner and probably knew the Wright Brothers. Anyway, he did the coffee cup thing on the dash of a Beech Sundowner, without saying anything. We get through the startup checklist and about to taxi and I ask him if he's gonna get that cup. He just grinned and said, "should I?" I couldn't resist channeling a little Clint Eastwood while pushing in the throttle: "Do you feel lucky?"

For those that don't know aircraft, the one I mentioned would be like having that cup of coffee on the dash of a Ford Pinto rolling down a dirt road.

    Fixed it for you LOL

Reminds me of one of the better pranks we did when I worked in an automotive shop. While folks are out to lunch, Secure an air hose that has a ball valve at the wall, to a 2L Coke bottle and place under the car that the target is working on. Wait till everyone gets back to work, preferably if the target is deep under the hood. Turn on air, watch target get a lump on his skull jumping into the hood. Way more fun than just blasting the horn while he's under there.

This was taken while on the phone scheduling a vet visit.
