Exotic meaning something that is not common for American folks in America... :biggrin_25519: however, pretty common in Brasil...
Good? But I AM good... :yes2557: specially HERE in the forum... :biggrin_25519:
I "see" that you followed me around in Brasil, huh? :biggrin_25519: Unfortunately I only go to that country to solve problems, spend tons of money, get exhausted and pssed off.... :biggrin_2552:

I actually showed amazing restraint in that thread. She really got on my last nerve lol

While I will admit to having a 77 corolla that couldn't be killed by my teenage driving skills...and I tried I could get it to chirp the tires pretty good into 2nd gear... Toyota in nascar is blasphemy for a born and raised in the south good ol boy who's been watching the sport since he was old enough to know what a race car was lol but I can forgive you since you weren't born and raised in the south hehehe

    decisions decisions......

still at the house. got a Brandon, fl drop for 1800 tomorrow 655 miles. feel strange being at the house this long. I can roll this evening and get at least 4hrs on the clock and get the holiday pay and deal with trying to park somewhere around midnight........or I can play beat the clock on the 11:15 down there tomorrow. I usually make it in one run 10:55+/- a little can make up a good bit of time on 301 once I get down there.

still haven't decided what to do

I had a '73 Corolla and destroyed it LOL. I bought it from the original owner in '82, a nice lady who's parents had bought it for her as a graduation gift. It had 80k miles on it an in like new condition, even had the 1200 engine and a 4 speed. A year later, it had 105k on it and it was junk. It was not the car's fault.

A little later on in my mechanic days, I bought an '81 Supra from a customer that didn't want to spend on some more than trivial cooling system problems. It was a rust bucket, one hatchback hinge was rusted off, and had worn out marshmallow suspension. Despite that, the power train was solid and scary fast for what it was. I was living in downtown ATL and attending GSU night classes at the time, so it was a perfect urban assault vehicle. There was no such thing as a parking lot ding. It kept my 450SEL, the other customer rescue, home and safe from the dangerous GSU parking garage LOL

So I'm kind of neutral on Toyotas. I think they're great cars. For other people. I think the decline of NASCAR started with getting politically correct and parting ways with Phillip Morris. The universal car aka "car of the future" was the end of it for me. The sport has evolved into nothing more than an advertising showcase soap opera as far as I'm concerned.

it certainly isn't what it used to be that's for sure. I was dumbfounded when that car with the wing came out.....being a pilot I could see the problem with that design coming and did almost quit watching myself then. they couldn't understand why the cars got airborne and took off when they got turned around. it had a ####ing wing on the back of it for crying out loud lol was great for downforce but turned around backward it was the same airfoil as on an airplane. duh of course they're going to fly when they get turned around at that speed. you'd think the engineers would have seen that one coming. made for some good wrecks though.

I am very much a fan from the old days and it has devolved somewhat. I remember going to Richmond when it was still a half mile fairgrounds track with a highway guardrail for a wall and bleachers for stands. things have gotten a little better the last few years as they've seen somewhat the error of their ways and the cars have a lot more parity with the new rules package. some of the underfunded single car teams are able to run and hold their own with the mega teams now and that's nice to see.

but the days of my favorites like Yarborough and Gant are long gone. I detest some of these young punks coming up now but it's like every other aspect of life I guess. I'm getting older and set in my ways and have little tolerance for what the country is becoming and the younger generations lol

if you're out and going to be running central to east texas later today be careful......a big line of big storms out that way they've got the whole central to east part of the state painted for rough weather. looks pretty ugly on the radar and holding together pretty well. multiple tornado warnings already
