I'm trying to catch some rest while I wait for the shop to call me and Freight watch has called me three times. If I didn't need to have my phone on it would be off at this point.

    I'm pssd and very tired...
Freightliner finished service at midnight last night and I decided to go get trailer and hit the road...
Trailer was still there on the street and fine... Drove 3 hrs... Got to shipper, did drop and hook and was going to head to co. warehouse in IN...
But after drop and hook truck got another problem... :biggrin_2552: And now it sounds worse.... Ugly loud noise comes from engine when I turn ignition on... :biggrin_2554:
I am gonna try to take a nap before calling co. folks again... They'll be arriving at the office in about 3:30 hrs... And I haven't slept since yesterday morning... Gotta go now..

Add me to the pissed list. But it's my own #### fault for letting TA ever touch my truck. Long story short they didn't have the parts to fix my truck. Wanted to charge me an extra $150 for a parts run....charge me double what my shop would charge for the parts to begin with. I can grin and bear it for 2 days...told then to button the truck up and I'll put it in my shop on Friday when I get home.

I will give Rick from the Napolean TA a shout out though. Initially comes off gruff but a good honest guy. He just shook his head when he saw how they "fixed" it the first time and told me don't let TA work on my trucks. I told him I already knew that but they claimed it was an easy fix so I rolled the dice. Lol

Not surprised. Prescott took 8 hours to fix a flat on a trailer last time I needed work done there.

What's stopping you from paging an Uber car or a taxi and getting the parts yourself? Tell them to call the dealer and have the order ready when you get there.

That said, I understand if you've burned up all your lag time and have to get going. I've learned I'm better off dropping something heavy on my balls than getting in line for service at a TA or Petro.

Rocks, Dinomite and FatDaddy Thank this.

Had them call. Got the part numbers and cost...but pressed for time and closest dealership was Toledo which is an 80 mile round trip...then factor in TA is doing it at their rates. Better decision all around to just get home. I won't melt. (I hope)

I'm happy I looked into what you suggested @RedForeman. Maybe I'm starting to think like a real trucker

    RedForeman and Dinomite Thank this.
