At the house but truck is stuck in my mechanics driveway atleast for the night.
He was gone but had to fix tail lights, my city horn (put in a new bad boyz) and replace some exhaust clamps (dang truck rattles them loose if not put on brand new and last time the parts store was closed).
Went to leave and his slanted solid ice drive did not want me to go played a bit got slide down the hill so had it pulled to flat ground with 4x4 pickup and taking a 50 point turn so as stay on flat ground and not hit the slanted icy hill again.
Very last backup before being able to pull out past a tree and on my way truck would not move dang the luck.
Hook the 4 wheel chevy and pull back 2 feet nope all four plus my two sets of duels just spin.
Now mind you this is flat ground I am on now.
So now i get to go buy some chain and make some tire chains.
May also buy a small winch and a couple snatch blocks make a compound system to increase its pulling power.:)

Wheres that magic button to add 20000# to drives at??? :)

Thats what i said when it was just over the hill one last time then we'll just leave it till spring:) I don't think my wife liked the idea when i told her later about it guess she thinks we need food, heat, electric. But she knows one of us would be dead shortly after my cigs and soad ran out:)
I would get out the other rig if it would help but dang i dont think it would since it has no weight either but it will make a good anchor for the winch I guess.

Well... it's already 2:40 am here... and I haven't been doing my best in adjusting to this "new" time zone... It's hard... specially when one is a night awl like myself... :biggrin_25523: But I am getting tired of missing most of the mornings and feeling little "crappy" till 13:00 local time... So... I better go... to bed now... turn the fan on, smear some mosquito repellent on my arms and legs, set this mosquito net on the bed and try to sleep, despite of some drunk guys talking and the freaking dogs barking out loud on the street... :biggrin_2552: You all have a warm and safe night... :biggrin_25519:

my cousin and I made great fools together in our youth we couldnt have been more then 10-12 when i got the tractor stuck out back after of course grandpa said it was too muddy to go there
so the cousin who was just as bright as me got the other tractor to pull me out
of course a lil while later we had both tractors stuck up to our belt buckles
about dinner time we dragged our carcasses up to the house in defeat
grandpa said i wondered if you were ever going to realize you weren't getting out of that mud

I think it was 3 days later and a bunch of rope and snatch blocks 2x12's etc before it was all back to "normal"

Oh wow thats just too dang funny. My cousin and I did pretty much the same dang thing only was a tractor and a 4x4 Jacobson articulating steering utility cart.
We had a section outside the meadow that was a peat moss swamp the little A model tractor got stuck. The Jacobson would not pull it out but it did not get stuck I almost doubt you could get it stuck.
It was a much older model somewhat similar to this uploadfromtaptalk1425220204784.jpg
And he was calm but not very nice in the things he called us. The 78 Dodge Power Wagon winch snatch blocks and plywood to get it out. He did laugh his but off watching us carry 4x8 sheets across knee deep swamp though I think it made him feel better.[emoji1]

The weather forecast here was mostly cloudy today with temp around 26 degrees Celsius or 78.8 Fahrenheit. 80% chance of precipitation...

It was kinda sunny in the morning and early this afternoon...

Drove to Hidrolandia with dad today and back to his place... We just sat in the car and chatted for over one hr... Good "privacy time" for he and I away from everybody else... :yes2557:

Stopped at the little cemetery where my mom and one of my uncle's remains are just to check on the grave...

My mom's presence is not there but wherever I am... :yes2557:

Back at dad's place, had a nice dish of spaghetti + beans + some veggies...

Will get up at 6 am local time tomorrow... which is 4 am American east time, and will get busy again...

that sure brings back some memories. I learned to back a trailer on one of those with the old swinging side to side drawbar hitch as soon as I was old enough to reach the pedals.

of all the toys my old man has....bulldozers, trackhoes, dump trucks, front end loaders ect ect........that old ford is still his favorite and the one that gets the most use. he's rebuilt it twice now in the 40+ years I can remember it being around.

there's a lot to be said for growing up on the farm
