I once called out a driver who wanted to complain about HOS rules and lack of parking who once claimed he ran out of hours in Texarkana but had to drive all the way to West Memphis to find parking. When I mentioned the TA in Prescott and that particular stop I think it's Gurdon? Are usually big enough to find parking at all hours he claimed they were both full. Lol. You can always find somewhere to park out of the way at that place. Needless to say I wasn't real sympathetic to his story.

The South Fork full? Hogwash! I've found parking in Prescott at 2am. And that's not counting the half dozen Indy stops up and down 30 besides the South Fork.

Parked for my 10 in Carteret.
Going to head out early and hopefully make it to the Davy Crockett for tomorrow night.

Here is where I'm parked tonight.

back the home DC. not a good place to be any time during the week but especially towards the end of the week.

just had a conversation with our new boss about the incompetence in planning that's been going on lately. he's a decent guy, former experienced driver for the company and realizing he just got into the CRE/wiener/swift/CRST of management positions lol. I feel for the guy. he's in a position much like the one I had at the airport before I left. he's responsible and accountable for a lot of things he has no control over and has no real authority to do anything other than be a go-between between us and the ones that do. I know why there's been a big disconnect in the cube farm the last few weeks but won't put it out there on a public forum lol.

they knew I was going to be here and when for 2 days. I had 5 hrs left when I got here and could have kept the good week going. they plan me on a 33 mile live unload for 0915 tomorrow. really?

no paperwork here. call the cube farm and find out not only is he not here but he's in Richmond hill, ga on his 10. I could have gotten there this evening and been 2 miles away at Bills and ready in the morning but now just had the rest of my day and the start of my day tomorrow blatantly wasted. good management of resources would dictate that he deliver the load after his 10. it's on his way. he's going to run it 33 miles past the cons too far north in the morning to get it here and then me take it 33 miles back south. really?

I may be a class A manager but I make a terrible employee. especially when incompetence gets in between me, efficient operation of my truck, ( or the fleet for that matter as it affects my year-end bonus) and my paycheck.
