Oh yeah... I'll spend the night here...



In the hotel room my company reserved for me... DSP told me this afternoon that I would use one of their trucks in the yard to go pick up a load somewhere and bring it to terminal while truck is at Freightliner... And then, if truck is ready, would pick up another load and deliver in NJ next Monday... But she didn't give me load assignment... She will be off tomorrow.... Oh well... other dsp may give me the info tomorrow morning... I just hope "my" truck is ready as soon as possible... Shall see...

 

Time for a hot shower and some food...

Seems my dispatcher (one of them) has been working late at home.... She have just emailed me load info. Gotta get some truck at terminal tomorrow and pick up this load about 1:30 hr from here and bring it to company... And hopefully my truck will be ready soon and will resume trip to NJ...

 

Frankly Rocks fun or not it has ALWAYS been about $$$$$.....its a job...if I didn't need money....I would have never been out here&while I have enjoyed myself most of the time....it has always been a job.....nothing more nothing less....and I'm glad some of y'all still find it fun out here.....but imho.....the amount of utter bs.....has taken most of the FUN outta this job many years ago.......and the sad part of it....its this industries (or what it has turned intos) own Fault.....and this is coming from someone who still finds a way to spend the better part of everyday enjoying himself......but then again I amuse easily.......

 

Exactly. Of course I still manage to enjoy myself as much as I can the hard truth is even with all the regulations coming I am still going to find myself out here dealing with it.

Why? Because it provides a good life for me and the girls and frankly I don't have the skill set or the fancy degrees to make this type of money doing something else. My ex has been a nurse 15 years....gonna get her masters for some fancy promotion so she's in school on top of her full time job and when it's all said and done I'm still gonna pull more in than she does driving a truck up and down the road. I sure wish I could walk away from all the BS and go into the bar business with @'olhand
