Only had one this morning, because I had things to do.

No you're not the only one that does it that way. I live about 60 miles from there & go through there fairly regular,but I have never seen anyone in it.The one hill before you get into Dunlap going south used to be a lot worse before they widened it.

had our biannual drivers meeting with the big wigs from arcadia this morning. 8am. got in 2000 yesterday in bed around midnight and had to get up and go to that thing this morning. given the 'opportunities' the cube farm has had lately it was a rather tense affair and I wasn't going to miss it. they've put on a few of us in the last year that aren't exactly the go along to get along types lol when I show up with the laptop and the spreadsheet and can quote numbers and costs and lost revenue and poor planning it lends much more credibility to what the others are saying hehehe and doesn't leave the higher-ups much room to do anything but squirm and try their best to bs an answer.

the one good thing that did come from it was they're going to turn on the driver reward software in the trucks as they come through for service. we've been wanting more speed and they want more mpg even though the fleet average is good. so they found another way to measure it basing it on idle time and over-rpm numbers. keep the idle down and don't go over 1500 we'll get 70. blow the numbers and it cuts back to 65 with a 250 mile threshold to stay under the numbers and it turns itself back up. i'll be glad to get that 5mph extra it could have made the difference a few days between parking short and getting there the way I run my clock. with an apu I don't see why they're having such an issue with idle but from what I gathered a lot of the LTL guys are leaving their trucks running while they make their stops. mine is only between 10-15% so I shouldn't have any issues with that. they also confirmed what my numbers show in that the kw's are killing the Volvos on fuel mileage by about .6-.8mpg.

then went to shop around phone plans now that we're off contract with Verizon. they were killing me each month. finally got a better deal for twice the plan with AT&T so back to them for awhile I guess. then Verizon refuses to unlock the wife's phone even though it's off contract. flat out lied to me the first time, had me jump through a bunch of hoops with their tech support and tried to bs me the 2nd time figuring I'd just drop it and the 3rd time I'd gone back and forth between the 2 offices and they saw I wasn't going to let it go they got really belligerent and rude and told me they won't unlock a droid phone even if it's paid for and off contract. the gist of it was if she wanted that phone, she stays with them otherwise #### off. that whole ordeal took almost 4hrs. I wasn't happy and it showed by the 2nd time I went back there. the 3rd time I was downright in their face rude, especially after he told me he wasn't going to unlock the phone. stay with them or go away. so, the wife gets a new phone and I'm out a lot more money than I was planning to spend today.

at least I get a full weekend in for a change. planned out Monday for hickory to arcadia

If you take it to a place that isn't corporate owned they more than likely can unlock it for 10-15 bucks
