Hey FM... seems this thing about raising the speed of the truck to "reward" drivers who save on fuel is becoming a trend here, huh? It was this past week when I posted about my company talking with me about that... They intend to do the same... :biggrin_25519:

I never really enjoyed alcohol... :biggrin_25512: But did drink beer and some other alcoholic beverages when I was a teenager and a young person... Last time I had any alcohol, it was beer... and it was almost 20 yrs ago... :biggrin_2554: WOW.... time runs fast...

lol yeah there isn't much they can say about not doing it over fuel mileage we've hit the fuel numbers they want. they've been losing some drivers and we've been wanting that extra few mpg to not get hung out quite as much behind the 64mph crowd. we found a good place to meet in the middle I think.

if we had more time to play with and to run around town looking for one i might have initially but really it's about principle now lol after the guy flat out lied to me the first time I was done with them. she won't use that phone now if it was the last one on earth. now it gets sold. I got her a decent one that all she had to do was pop in the sim card and good to go.

probably a lot of truth to that lol it's sure above my computer illiterate head. I do good to get my phone turned on and find my stops on the map most days much less digging into the os and trying to change things. email, radar, text and maps that's about all I find one useful for

My company complains about most drivers who despite of having an APU in the truck, idle way over 8% which is the limit in my company and are making less than 7 mpg in brand new trucks that are "fully" capable of 8 mpg according to my company...
My company is "impressed" or should I say "intrigued" by the fact that I am almost always running against the governor, not using cruiser and still making almost 8 mpg in a 2012 truck... I think it's the truck itself and the fact that my highest idle percentage has been 5... Funny they asked me what my opinion would be about raising the speed of the trucks... They know well I like speed... Have gone above their maximum speed tolerance twice so far going down hill in NM...
But if the speed on "my" truck is raised, I will not push against governor all the time... only when I need to get out of some momentary situation... I want to keep my mpg this way or better if I can... :biggrin_25519: And continue receiving their $500.00 bonus every quarter... :yes2557:

It was sooo quiet where I parked up here... Had my windows open and was enjoying the nice breeze... This parking lot is still quite empty... But now a truck parked to my left and is idling and making a lot of noise... :biggrin_2552: And now I feel like I am in a truck stop... :biggrin_2552:

I learned to drive in one just like that. It wasn't as shiney though. Two sticks.. lots of fun steering it too.
