I'm sitting at the J in Dallas Tx. Have the windows down and the fresh air streamng in. Enjoying the pleasant temps till the parking lot creatures start bothering me. Then I'll pull the curtains. Only had one beggar so far.... And he just wanted food,no money. Was glad to give him some granola bars and a cup of soup he can heat up inside....
Left Atlanta yesterday and deliver here on Monday... Then reload in Arlington headed to Illinois...

 

Yes... will remember that next time I take a picture during winter...

You wrote it right Mr. Cranky... "maybe"... Seeing is believing...

 

Woke up early today and rushed to the lab for a blood test... 18 things to check to make sure I have nothing to worry about... Then, rushed back to hotel for my breakfast after 14 hrs fasting...



I think there was more food on the table than usual... I ate almost twice of I generally do...



With free time for the rest of the day and weather a little overcast, I decided to go for a walk and some pictures...
First place, this canal nearby hotel...



Boats here take tourists for cruises around the islands in this region...





There are many marinas here...

 

This is the street where my hotel is, seen from the beach side.



It's only 50 mts from the beach... Praia do Forte.



Tourists strolling and taking pictures... just like me...



Lots of outside "bars" like huts... with tables under umbrellas... they sell sea food, appetizers, beverages, juices, etc... I guess those get crowded on a weekend evening specially during summer...



On the sand, booths selling all kinds of food and beverages... complete meals, fruits, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, etc, etc...



Some vendors push carts...





The sand of Praia do Forte is very white and very fine... feels good walking on it...



Praia do Forte is far from being one of the most beautiful in this region... but it's the closest one to my hotel...



And finally, I got to the water...



AHHHHHH..... Nice... Wonderful temperature... very inviting...

But I wasn't planning on swimming... just getting my face and feet wet was enough for me...

The first time I visited this beach, in the 60's, there was only one hotel... and now...



I was thinking about enjoying some beach and swimming tomorrow but the weather has changed... it's raining now... And it's supposed to rain all week...

Back at home and just like last week I have no idea for how long..

Truck goes back to KW Monday because the new windshield they installed last week leaks..

 

I'm debating if I go to the beach nearby to check on the water or not... Got some sciatica pain from so much walking... It will go away eventually... no biggie...
Later today will have to try to find some folks in another town north of here and also check on some property... one of the main reasons for me coming here...
Well... better get my rear end moving here... time is short... Y'all take care...

 

I'm still layin around the house waited out the weather. Watched a little smokey and the bandit today. That was probably the highlight since I came slidin in Wednesday night. Ready to get moving but no clue what I'm gonna do this week yet.
