Went to the dentist today...



Nothing fancy... And as I expected, the dentist here was able to restore a tooth that 3 American dentists said was impossible to be done... they said I would need a crown... and a root canal... AMERICAN DENTISTS SUCK!!!
This Brazilian dentist restored my tooth,in a few minutes, did a GREAT job and charged me $32.00 dollars!! :smt023
I am very thankful for waiting almost 2 yrs to see her and for not letting those American dentists convince me to get a crown...
The Brazilian dentist gave me thorough explanation of what was going on with my other teeth and why I didn't need to worry about anything else... and she didn't take any unnecessary x-rays... It's a shame American dentists are not like that...

 

That's the reason so many Americans go to Mexico for dental work and medical care. Blame your non-socialized medicine and a group of physicians who think they're entitled to make as much as they do. And they do it while complaining about the high cost of liability insurance and socialized medicine.

But I don't know too many who get out of the business; it's pretty lucrative.

State of the art facility in Juarez $5500 and included a limo ride over the border from the El Paso airport.

 

What always cracks me up about Hazen is how trucks will crowd into the little truck stops right at the exit, as well as the shoulders of the ramps, while 1/2 mi down the road is a huge parking lot that's always empty. Of course you can't be skeered to try those 2-lanes to find that stuff.

I was unfortunately in Memphis myself this morning saving a $100 by pulling 4 skids off myself, then heading north. Sitting at a good trailer shop in St. Charles, MO. for a couple hours now getting a hub seal fixed and some new s-cams & bushings on the front trailer axle. Got the reefer unit changed out last week and 50 gal fuel tank to replace the old 30 gal it came with. Then over the weekend I wire brushed the floor to get the grime cleared and epoxy some pin holes before they rot the sub-floor. I guess some new walls, a roof, and a pair of doors and I coulda bought a whole trailer. At least it's the devil I know.

 

90 degrees in Bakersfield area. About 5 hours on the 14 and 2 hour or so wait for a door.......

76,200 gross @ the moment. Called it in to dispatch because cust. Wants to put on 4,400 more when I get to the door. Not today it ain't gonna happen....
