It was a busy day for me today... Woke up early and rushed to the ophthalmologist...
There's a nice big old Catholic church on my hotel street...

They have masses several times a day everyday from 7 am till 22:00...

Anyway, at 7:50 am when I got at the clinic, there were already 10 people standing in line on the street, outside the door... Including elderly folks and ladies with babies in their arms... Thankfully doors were opened before the rain...
After that, I rushed back to my hotel, not very far for my breakfast... And then rushed out again to run more errands and went to another clinic to see another doctor... who was one hr late... :biggrin_2552:
After that and some more walking running errands, went to self-service restaurant...

I like their home made cooking... always fresh and a nice variety... And they are only 5 mins from my hotel... :yes2557:

Had my regular pile of food + a dish with salad... lettuce.... I LOVE lettuce!! With a home made sauce of chopped tomatoes, green pepper, onions, salt, black pepper, parsley, some olive oil and vinegar... Hhmmmmmmmm... :yes2557:

Definitely, many vegetables in Brasil taste different from the same ones in America... and I like them better here...

Walked quite some today... and getting used to it again... :yes2557:
Had to go to same place twice today for some long distance calls and then rushed to meet with a lawyer... and realized will have a lot more to do while I am here...
Tomorrow will be another busy day... and more walking... It's been raining here... bought a crap piece of umbrella... it broke in 5 mins... as I suspected... :biggrin_25510:
Will have my supper now while watching tv... and will go to bed...:biggrin_25518:

All that good real food to stare at as I stir up my rice a roni.

Got it a couple good laughs today. Went to pull out this morning and one of those super stretched hummer limos pulling a tiny 8ft or so enclosed trailer pulled up in front of me and tried backing that little trailer in the spot beside me in the rest area. It was worse than trying to back the lawnmower trailer. Took him 20 minutes just to get it lined up crossways barely in the spot lol it whipped his ###. I know he breathed a sigh of relief when I pulled out and he had 2 spots to work with to get it straight.

Coming up 78 in Al today DOT in an SUV tried to cut across the well soaked and muddy median and got stuck.....and not a little either. He mired it up in there hard. Bet he won't live that one down for awhile.

At the DC in ripley, ms. Rolled in the gate with 4 minutes left but got it done. Lake city to Cordele live load to ripley. Guess they don't get many overnight guests here. Gaurd looked at me like I was speaking Latin when I asked her where I could park for the night. Not the most desirable spot to spend the night but starts my day tomorrow with a fresh clock.
