Maybe the smallest Service Center I have been to. I drove up and saw the gate had a conventional key lock on it and there I am with no key. But noticed the lock wasn't all the way engaged. So I pull around the building hunting a spot and trailers are on top of each other. So I only have room to back all the way back around. By that time a day cab driver showed up and moved a empty from a back corner spot for me to sleep in. Well just talked to another TL guy and apparently they drop their trailer at the drop yard in Kernersville and bobtail it here to park. If I would have known that would've gone that route since I had to drop the trailer to top off my fuel.

being the crook that i am i try to keep my steers at 12500
as long as i am not over 80000
I left Tulare at 12880 few weeks ago but no scales until St George so I once again escaped
these cascadias burn 2/3 of fuel weight off steers or at least on mine
my 700 KW seemed to be the oppisite

Is it just me but my Freightliner burns a lot more fuel than the Volvo I was in. I know part of it is the APU since I can set a temperature but in driving also.

you in an older crapcadia? I was in a few of them at my previous company 2012,13 and 14 models. best I could ever get out of one consistently was 6.5-6.7

the f/l up through the '14 models don't even get near to the Volvos I've driven. don't know about the post '14 models.

It's a 2012 and I average mid 6's also. Love the size and power compared to the Volvo.

you'll have to learn to live with mid 6's then. that's about the best it's ever going to get. the '12 and '14 I ran were 10 speeds and the '13 was an auto. the auto got worse mileage than the sticks did no matter what mode I drove it in.
