now see i find just the opposite
the 2012 DD15 with a 13 speed avged 6.7
2015 DD15 with mercedes auto 12 speed same run at 7.0 on 113000 miles
we have 7 autos 3 13 speeds all the autos get the best mpg

 

Briefly drove a Volvo. Bout the only good thing I liked about it was the fuel mileage. I'm hearing much better things about the fuel mileage in the '15 DD15 Evo. I'll be driving one soon so hopefully it's true.

 

Yeah it's a 10 auto

 

a good driver in a stick will outperform a computer and an auto any day of the week hehehe the big problem with the auto in the '13 I drove was that it was supposed to be 'adaptive' and adjust the shift point for the load. problem was, it never really figured it out and was shifting all over the place in auto mode. in manual mode if it didn't like the gear you wanted it to be in, it would change to the gear it 'thought' you needed to be in anyway. it was awful.

the '15-16 f/l do seem to get much better mpg than the older versions.

a 13 speed and an apu helps too but in the absence of the apu the mileage is only going to be so good.

Got hosed by the ID10T drivers that backed up I40 5 miles for a construction merge.

 

Darn I was going to treat blu ogre to a nice chesters dinner complete with bbq sauce drizzle.

 

RI's 24 Hr. 1st drop 7 am then a 10 o'clock over in Hartford. Gonna be interesting the next few weeks. App for new home fer the truck is done, so just waiting on a call. Yall all make me tired! Oh yeah, Sour Skittles and Mtn Dew. That gives me that lil kick that's needed.
