When I got that Amazon load yesterday the trip assignment said 8-07 no appt. the cube farm said just call when I got on the road this morning with an eta. That always makes me leery. Get up and get going and call with a 1400 eta. No problem I'll get that entered for you. 10 minutes later she calls back and says 'uh.......broker says appt is 1700 and that's firm don't go in early. Sorry'. Ugh. lol

I've put up with enough bs from them this week I wasn't hearing it. Already planned on a deadhead back and then a Richmond drop I need the whole clock today I don't have time to be sitting 3hrs waiting once I get there. Told her I didn't expect any less from them this week considering how badly they'd screwed the pooch the whole week. Let it go at that and just went on down there anyway.

Roll in there at 1400. Talked my way in the gate. Talked my way into a door. Unloaded and leaving by 1530. Called in empty and she's amazed. How did I do that? Told her I just whipped out my super trucker hall of fame membership card and let them know who they were dealing with and they got right on it. She laughed so hard she snorted in the phone lol

Got back and grabbed my Richmond drop and headed that way but decided just to call it a day and get a better than microwave meal with a side of plenty of parking instead of having to go on up 85 into Va where the options would get slimmer as the clock got later. Won't change getting home late tomorrow afternoon any. I've had enough of late night parking roulette this week lol

 

parked in South Beloit, IL ..... I picked up in Gaylord this morning. Headed to Bridgeport, NJ and Swedesboro NJ for Monday morning. Knocked off a 1/3 of the miles today...

Gonna sleep good tonight. Spent last night parked next to a no parking sign in front of the receiver I was at. Was told I could drop and hook by dispatcher and receiving day shift. I rolled in at 2250 and got nothing but attitude and the guy in receiving refused to let me drop it. Said I had a live unload at 6am....was really sarcastic and said 'it's a LIVE unload...do you know what that means??' I briefly thought of knocking him out...I grew up in Jersey. If anyone spoke to me like he did.....I let my 'Jersey' out..I must be growing up!! Lol .. But I acted professional instead. Didn't sleep well though....... Got up at 545 and went inside and a different guy first said I didn't have an appointment but found it eventually...Then told me they were behind, so why don't I just drop it and take an empty.....hahahaha....

i keep expecting this thread to be shut down and a new one started.....

 

Depending where you are going Bridgeport and Swedesboro are basically the same.

Racine Wi for awhile. Kicked my 4 off then beat feet and got reloaded. Gonna try and sneak thru the Windy fer the natives start getting restless in the early AM. Figure I'll be at the ranch tomorra evenin. Kick this one off Monday morning, then see what strikes my fancy. Be cool on yer stool!

Yep. Know them both. Fairly close to each other. 1 exit apart on 295. If you haven't been there before they are both rather easy to find.
