The weather in Chi-Town has been beautiful. Was walking the dogs yesterday in shorts and a tshirt. Today its too cold for that but loving that there isn't anymore snow.

Most of our flats in 2014 happened in the Dallas area.

Let's see... spent all day "touring" around... First spent one hr at the phone station, then visited the Secretaria de Fazenda do Municipio de Cabo Frio (county office that takes care of all kinds of property taxes)...

After waiting for a while, found out it wasn't there... But the other Secretaria de Fazenda... the one for the state, not the city... So, there I went...

After getting the forms, I visited the bank... and some more waiting to talk to someone...

Then, back to the phone station for more phone calls...

Then, back to the Secretaria de Fazenda do Estado... but folks were out for lunch...
So, I found a restaurant and had my lunch... And then, back to the Secretaria... Then, had to rush to a shop for some copies... and back to the Secretaria...

After that, did my regular "tour" to dad's house... Have been doing this almost every day now... About 2 hr bus round trip...

All intrastate buses in Brasil use people to collect the fair.... sometimes the driver does that.. No machines...

After visiting the real state office to discuss about dad's house, I visited my uncle...
On the way back to the hotel, a stop at the phone station for more long distance calls... And a stop at the restaurant for some Calzones to go...
And then, back to the hotel... and the day was over...

Nothing really exciting... Tomorrow will get more tests' results and will spend more time making phone calls.

Was up in your neck of the woods today but on a tight schedule had I been 30 min behind would have had to stay up there. Had it not been for the 2 hr delay getting a tire and then the trailer fixed would have had time to stop. But jad to be inside the gates in Chicago by 3:30 made it 3:05 :)
Drop in Joliet PU in Chicago made it to Remington IN

Yes... despite of some "negatives" living in a truck... I can't wait to be back in the truck... and specially now that most of the winter is over... :yes2557:
But there's still A LOT to be done here... I don't know when I will be able to go back... So, I haven't bought my ticket yet...
In the meantime, folks in my company think that I am resting... having some fun and enjoying good time... I don't see much point in trying to explain to them all that I am doing here... :biggrin_25512:

Dad is willing to come to Rio... and I want him to come... even though he is on a wheelchair and can't move one arm... he will need someone to come with him... and I am planning on all the details to accommodate him and his companion... transportation from his place in the middle of nowhere to the airport in Fortaleza and then from the airport in Rio to the inn near his house in up state Rio... He can't ride in a bus because buses in Brasil are not prepared for wheelchairs... :biggrin_25513: A lot of details related to his trip... transportation, accommodation, meals, hygiene... It's going to be a big sacrifice... for him, for me... and his companion... But my guts tell me we gotta do this... And I am VERY THANKFUL I can afford all the expenses... I just hope he doesn't fall sick during the trip...

Hopefully will have time to stop next go round. If I had a better week last week might not have pushed it to PU today as it was a load that could have been got in the AM but need the extra runs this week and next I want Cash to go blow at MATS:)
