Understanding what he did though will take more time and potentially a couple more watches.

I have the CF-018DC, which is small but easily portable. I'm off the truck as much as on it, so I chose a model that is easier to haul in and out but still have some fresh groceries when I want them. Only rated for 3A, so good for any cigarette lighter. The little inverter I use to pre-cool it at home has never read over 2A on it's meter, however. So, friendly to your truck's electrics.
Hard to find in stock anywhere. If you order online, I would not recommend adventurerv.net, where I bought my second one of these (got one for my son to take on his truck). They were on back order and I was never notified of that until I complained after over two weeks. I did finally get the item almost 4 weeks later. Better to buy elsewhere and call them to verify they actually have it and will ship right away.
Standard size paper towel rolls to the right give an idea of actual size. The section on the left is deep to the bottom, the right section is half that, with the compressor and whatnot under that part.
With the temp set like this, it reaches about 33ºF inside. Once in a while I'll have ice in a bottled water if it's been in there more than 1/2 a day.
We park backed up to some not very well kept green space adjacent to a vacant lot. With reefers that are at times loaded with raw chicken, there's often goop coming out of the drains. Oddly, that doesn't attract them much. However, the bugs splattered on the front of the trucks appeals to them sometimes. I take a sling blade to the weeds behind the trailer to make sure none are touching it. Then overdose the grassy area with ant powder. I'm just now seeing a few ants emerge so it's due for another dose. Last time was over three years ago and no ant problems since. I guess when you tread an area with 4X the recommended use, it makes it nice and toxic LOL.Rocks, HeWhoMustNotBeNamed, TruckDuo and 1 other person Thank this. -
I work for Frito Lay and we use Peoplenet I'm wondering why ants are attracted to it. Thanks

I'm a copy editor and tend to go about life on the theory that everyone else has the same vocabulary I do. Which I shouldn't, cuz Blu pointed out that he doesn't know the word cogent, either. (btw, it means "relevant to the conversation")
Has nothing to do with smarts, as I generally feel that I have to work at it to keep up with him in the smarts department. Believe me, if I tried to discuss trucking or automotive stuff with you guys, I'd come off sounding about as bright as a stunned cod.Rocks, peterbilt_2005, sshewins and 3 others Thank this. -
