I took the PA turnpike on my venture , and I really didn't want to because it's a time stamp of where I was , so I sort of moved things around so it looked like I had plenty of time . Lol
Toll roads are nice , but they can get ya in some trouble if you get caught somewhere. Lucky for me the PA scales were closed and the one on 76 in Ohio east bound has been closed for a while now.
That 1100 mile day makes me look like I wasn't working hard enough
You back to cattle pullin now ? -
All done for the week. Little Mabel is makin some breakfast pizza, the new ECM I put on this week added quite a bit of giddy-up and gun smoke, and .5 mpg increase. Sooooo life is good !!!!
RedForeman and TruckDuo Thank this. -

My tee-mater load is sitting in our yard, they wouldn't take it (had to have it ya know) so I dumped it......no longer my problem..

Watching basketball at the J while waiting for trailer to be loaded at P&G Edwardsville. Supposed to be ready at 1300. When I called just now they still hadn't started yet. Will try again after this game....if its not ready I'll just go to bed and pick it up tonight or the AM. Doesn't have to be in Winchester till 1600 Monday at the latest.

Yea I will never quit for good. I bought a new Barrett slat a while back somebody gotta make the payments lol. I really like the hopper work and being close to home. For the most part the grain haulers stick together, for me the good life is hooked to a pott living like an orphan hoping to bum a meal at a sale barn. It's money time of the year too. They are weining calves on the Triangle in Guthrie, Kingsville is too. It's hard not to go when the folks you've worked for 15 years call and say wish you would come help. There are some new hands this year I'm not to sure about some of them, ain't my worry thou. Lol. I will go back to my hopper when things slow down, this is the time of year it has nothing to do with money for me I would do it fa free.TruckDuo and tangerineGT Thank this.

Today my son had a pinewood derby race for cub scouts
He took first overall for fastest car. 238.8 mph ( for scale size )
I am so proud of my little guy !!!!!!!! -
I know what ya mean .
It's really not the money that drove me to this , but the fact that I love animals.
It's the sounds of hoofs on an aluminum floor in the middle of the night when no one else is out .
You know what I mean .
You pull up for fuel at about 3 a.m. in the middle of your run , and your standing there hearing that clomp , clomp on the floor and that is all I need ....
Pulling over to rip out a page or two to make sure you look legit for the next 5 or 6 hrs after you have already been running 8 or 9 .
The feel of running scales ( is just intense )
It's the true life of the last outlaws of the trucking industry and it feels good !!!!!! -
OHHHH NOOOO, you are doomed
tsavory, Cranky Yankee, wore out and 1 other person Thank this. -
