How to make a million or more in trucking. Start with 3 million and go from there.

All joking aside. You have a business plan? My guess is no.

stick to a company position till you fully understand the business. Invest the money you have in something you can liquidate at a later date when you get some time in the business. Right now, the failure rate is so high, you’re better off just staying a company driver, learning the basics and getting some experience.

With a decent business plan, possibly. You don’t have a business plan, decent or otherwise.

The OP should listen! Many on here told me do not invest in a truck. I spend since 2018 on these working a well paying job I hated and by the time 2022 hit I decided to establish Authority. However it was the worst year to purchase trucks because 400% of others like me believed the hype from covid O/o's were making $4 per mile plus but it was short lived. I'm down $120k however have investments keeping me going and my 2nd house. Unless you have direct contracts (more than 1) don't purchase a truck. $100k to these Megas is literally chump change. What I've learned in the last few years as a Small Carrier is profit margins are only 8% to 10%. Overhead is the biggest downfall even for the big boys which is why many have gone bankrupt owning 600 plus trucks. For the amount energy put into this business for the small profit isn't worth it. Anyone who says or thinks different is trolling, full of sh** and will never show their legit finances and legal info.

May I ask what you been doing those past 20 years ? You most likely still drive your personal vehicle , or maybe do some doordash on the side, so essentially you are still using your CDL-A which covers ABCD. But yes I agree with you. You don't even have to drive. It is same with your personal car insurance Class D. it gets lower with age even if you are taking the bus. The insurance company does not ask "do you drive your car or take the bus?"

Come on. Even those who do lease with zero money survive, why can't someone who have $100k not survive? If I go to super ego I can do lease purchase with zero down and will have $100k budget for repairs which can basically get me thru.

Another truck driver with a $100k to burn and no actual clue of a real business need just wants to drive a truck. Somebody else can secure the freight driving the truck is the real business hahaha!! Go to super ego now and set the world on fire driver.

    Lol  ok sure!

Honestly, he's better going to Vegas with $20k at the roulette table on black with $20 sets each play, $20k in stocks, buy $10k on Mega Million and Powerball and invest the rest in real estate I can guarantee he will be mire financially swt in life in the long run.

What is there really complex about trucking ? It's a simple business. It is just like doing doordash with bigger risk but bigger returns. So its like playing the casino as a high roller.
