    hey everyone,
I live in Las Vegas and I'm interested in running where i can stop by the house on the weekends. I have teenage kids who need to see dad's face often to keep the house in check if you know what i mean lol...

I have a clean record, 15yrs experience, no tickets, no accidents, no criminal background, above average common sense and attention to details.. (thought I'd add that in there too lol)
I'm used to running reefers, produce, bulkhead freight if needed with frozen in the nose and chilled or cooled in the back.. I'm familiar with running around and picking produce from Salinas, Bakersfield and areas, Los Angeles and other areas.. LTL freight, etc.. Getting a job is rarely easy, i have family with trucks but as we know, sometimes family and business is like oil and water, and i prefer to keep the family ties on a positive note lol..

I'm used to running good equipment and treating it like its my own, checking the tire pressures, oil and keeping an eye on the details, etc.. I say this because its amazing how many drivers won't even check the oil or tire pressure daily or weekly. Also familiar with 13spds and 18spds Petes, KW's with hoods, etc. Loading & unloading, dodge ballin if needed from time to time lol.. (keep that between you and me).. Familiar with keeping an eye on fuel mileage, watching for low fuel prices, paying with cash if needed, etc..

My goal is to find something where i can run from the West Coast to the Midwest and/or Texas and back in a weeks time. Maybe running produce out and bringing meats or something back to the west. Being able to stop by the house and see the family on the weekends instead of staying out weeks at a time like I've done in the past. I'd also be interested in working with an owner operator where i can help book loads if needed, and making some great money together. Being treated like a normal human being with a life and a family with the ability to pay the bills and make great living.

If anyone has anything let me know.. lets talk and put our minds together and see what we can come up with. I also bring other strengths to the table entrepreneurial/ business wise.
Again, I've ran with my uncles and treated the equipment like an owner operator, however they live on the east coast and have little interest in fooling around with California now a days. I need a work and life balance..

    Thanks

yes it will be hard to find a decent paying job in your current location. currently my lanes are east coast to midwest very little west of I35 I could hire drivers in the west but wouldn't be what your would want I would have to run you east coast, midwest for 6-8 weeks before you get home time otherwise I would lose money. best i can do is have you work 8 weeks then give you 1 week home time. but seems you want to be home more. you could get a job staying in the west but the pay out there is pretty crap by comparison.

Wish you lived between Phoenix and Iowa, If what you say is true, you'd be hired and in a truck by Monday of next week...

Truline will get you home almost every weekend, and I think they are starting a little higher per mile than that, but I'm not sure what. The tractors are all 13's or 14's except a few older rigs that run primarily from Vegas to AZ with drywall. Pretty nice people to work with, and they try hard to keep everybody running.
Call Kevin at 800-634-6489. Best of luck.

From personally dealing with Truline Id stay away from them. They pay .38 per mile loaded empty is only .20 They will charge you for everything missing piece of paper $50 log book missing signature another $50. Medical insurance for family is $250 a week. You only get 2200 miles a week with 20% being empty just no money to be had. Plus you have a driver cam looking at you 24 hrs a day. Way better opportunities to go with this company. Im not gonna bash them the owner was nice the people were nice just no money to be made, too controlling, and safety needs to be more knowledgeable.

Equipment was nice besides the driver cam I will give them that. But to each its own.
