I don't know if this helps, but I had the same problem with DD, it's actually what brought me to this site.My problem was the fuses going to the ECM had oxidized and also the terminal end going to the battery was suspect(some people can't grasp electrics).I put in new fuses, redid the wiring and now the truck is fine. The truck also had no power, but the fuses were real bad,the truck had been sitting in a damp environment.Anything less then 12volts to the ECM is NG.Hope this helps, good luck.

Component #1 is the ECM.
When it happens ito my truck, I just turn the truck off and after I restart it a few times the fault goes away. -
Clean Full voltage is your friend. Battery connections should be inspected on a regular basis and updated.
Growing up in a saltwater environment in the marine field I can say inspections and maintenance can be a long life saver
Take your cables off and wiggle the ends like you are trying to break the lug off the cable.
If it’s weak and corroded it will break after a few wiggles. If it feels tight and strong stop. Clean the lug and make sure the cable covering is sealed to the lug with some liquid tape.
