Thank you for that. I just watched a video by Adept Ape on the IVA vs. VVA. He mentioned the BXS having a separate actuator for the IVA. He also showed even the new updated studs breaking.
I have a Cat C15 serial prefix of MXS. What C15 do I have?

Also seemed to snap rockers. Pre-07 ACERTS are still better than any DPF engine or ISX and if tuned correctly are great engines.
Trucker186, GrapeApe, snowman_w900 and 2 others Thank this. -
Yeah, it means the same thing. IVA (Intake Valve Actuator) and VVA (Variable Valve Actuator), same crap. MXS and NXS changed to a common actuator housing that have the valve actuators and engine brakes in 1 housing for 2 cylinders (3 total).spsauerland, snowman_w900, SAR and 2 others Thank this.

I have the 625HP turbos and deleted actuators on a 2005 MXS, absolutely zero problems with anything on the engine. only about 50k miles but love it. Its still de-tuned for the break-in period but going to 900HP and 3200 pounds of torque approximately at the wheels. People talk trash about the Acert all the time but it is by far the greatest engine I've ever had.
Deezl Smoke Thanks this. -
My BXS has coolant runnng out the exhaust, can I replace that motor with a MXS cat motor
-
Simple answer yes. But why not fix the one you have ?
-
Yes. But I would just recommend fixing it if able to
-
Do you still have this engine?
