I have a paid off truck and am only bringing home $1500 on a good week

My neighbor is a company driver , home every weekend .

He took six weeks unpaid vacation last years and still made $97k on his W-2

 

In the meantime, per OOIDA newsletter, the used truck sales started to increase along with the freight volumes.

I doubt it. Truck prices are down and diesel prices are down. People will be buying them up thinking they’ll get rich. Never mind that rates are down too.

i looked at used trailers to upgrade my one that got totaled for a spare, the supply crunch basically had everyone turning used trailers into scrap, 2016-17 trailers that were in worse shape then my 2010, and that was before rates tanked, you know a majority of trailers haven’t seen a lick of maintainence In years…
