One of my good friends has a Big German Shepherd. The dog thinks it is a big puppy because there are 2 Maltese in the house.

But it is still young and dam that thing can get aggressive. My buddy has never owned a dog before and is not real firm with the dog when it gets like that.
    That scares me.

Yep my exwife works for a very high end insurance company.
You got bucks and you have a pit you are going to pay for it.
    It's all statistics .
I do believe that 80 percent is to blame the owners raising the dog.

I bought a big beautiful male Doberman after losing my female of 8 years.
Dog was aggressive from the get. after having it for 6 months and it nipping my year old son for no reason for the umpteenth time I found a new home for it.
Beautiful dog but after having my mild mannered loyal female I just didn't trust it around my kid.

    Chinatown Thanks this.

#27 was interesting. I wonder if Helen Keller knew she had a pitbull?

That's no Joke. My exwife has a Maltese Chihauhua mix. Cutest little biting terror you could ever meet.

If I don't pet her just right at the right time she will lay into me.
Thing is I can throw it like a football before it tears me a new Azzz , unlike a big dog that you don't have much time and you better have a weapon or be fast before they bite your face off.

That buddy's German Shepherd I was talking about earlier scares me because it likes to get up in your face when it gets aggressive.

The intelligence and the intuition, despite the breeds with bad raps, makes all the difference in this sad, crazy world. I would hope our Pit would protect my son and daughter under dire straights.

When we were about 12 my sister and I were walking down the beach of Lake Michigan and a Chow a couple was walking got loose .
Thing went after my sister hard, fortunately the owner was Johnny on the spot . Totally unprovoked and dog bit her legs 3 times before the owner got control.

If that happened today they would have had a lawsuit on their hands. My dad was pissed.

About 25 years ago I had a long hair kid working for me.he had a Chow. Guy got all high and drunk and passed out .
Chow ate his scalp off. Totally crazy, for all I know the dog ate some weed or something I don't know.

Doesnt really matter what the dog will do...does it? That breed of dog is banned in many cities how do you plan to do delivery and pickups? God forbid you get inspected by DOT...its just not a trucking dog.

I had my female Doberman back in the early 80s when Magnum PI and every other show on Television portrayed a Doberman as a mean dog.

Back than I owned a parasail business and took the dog to work on the boat everyday.
The dog was never on a leash and did not need to be, never wandered far from me.

I docked my boat at a high end yacht club and got grief from everyone until they got to know her.

I provided parasail to the Ritz Carlton in Naples Florida.
She rode on the boat with all the customers everyday for 2 years until a women who's child rode on the boat and was afraid of dogs flipped out. I worked around her and dropped the dog off with a friend to do their ride and all went well.
Next day I get called by the GM of the Ritz.
Do I have a Doberman on my boat that I own , yes I do , she has been with me for years and the customers love her and she is famous with them.

If the dog is ever on my boat again my contract will be cancelled.

Needless to say my dog had to sit home everyday after that.

Sold the business 6 months later, event pissed me off.
