I have a serious question about wearing corrective lenses

Why did you even bother posting you haven't listened to any advice so far. Bottom line is your medical card says you need corrective lenses. Your CDL doesn't. So when you get inspected and the officer sees they don't match you'll get Driver Fitness points for yourself and your company. It is your responsibility to make sure they both match. Get your act together, start being a professional driver and get your CDL updated to show that you need corrective lenses since that is the truth.

 

Here is how this works, when you Dr. says you need to wear glasses it gets noted on your medical card.

More than likely. You should worry less about the DOT and more about what happens when you get in an accident while your not wearing them, and they find out that you need them but your license and medical card say you dont need them. Being dishonest puts you in a position where nobody is likely to believe your stories. Next time you get your medical card done be honest, and likewise with your CDL. You're only hurting yourself by pretending that you don't need corrective lenses when you go in for your testing.

and so again, yes more than likely you'll get in trouble for that. You can try to explain to the officer your situation, he's not going to believe you. So just get your act together and get the correct information on your CDL and Medical Card.
