So, what are you being cautious about? Is it cost or the equipment you’re looking at?

Good question, a lot of things I guess, paying them off before I die for one!!! lol

In all seriousness I think some of it is just sticker shock over cost and payments, it all works out on paper, but right now, for every day, week, month I run the trucks and equipment that is already paid for it is like getting free money?

Lol, I think you’ve probably been around long enough to know that there ain’t nothing for free...

On the other hand, if your equipment is not eating you up in nickel, dimes and down time, maybe hang on to them for a while longer. Could always go on the offense, start replacing parts that are probably nearing the end of their life when the trucks are down for normal off time, maybe prevent down time when they are needed.

One point to look at in your operation, how much will you gain in fuel economy with the new equipment? Advances that have been made in new equipment could offset the cost of the new equipment quite a bit.

Yeah Larry, we have looked at it from all angles, basically what I "think" I will save in fuel, (keep in mind my trucks are already high 7's low 8's) and repairs will pretty much make my payments, so as I said, on paper it does pencil out, but it also requires a good chunk of change as a down payment?

So you’re not planning on using your current trucks as trades?

I "was" going to but they offered me so little for them that I am better off selling them privately.
