Well you bought a truck knowing that over half the country was shut down, what did you really think was gonna happen? I mean it’s been all over the news.
HoneyBadger67, feldsforever, WildTiger1990 and 4 others Thank this. -
Weird. I have my irp. Bought my truck in November. Still haven't titled it. I just needed the bill of sell. Different state though. Have you tried going to a 3rd party? Thats what I did and I walked out with my plates. Again with title still not in my name.

If you have paid the ga. state sales tax and have the papers that will help?

I bought a trailer about 2 months ago and still have a temp tag on it. Everything has been closed.

Georgia is very funny about CMV titles for vehicles that will be registered under an IRP account.
To keep it simple, they will not let you title a Class 8 CMV in GA without setting up the IRP. Once the IRP is setup and fees paid then they will issue a current title. My work around was to pay the ad valorem tax on my used truck and wait for the title to come. I specified to the clerk that the vehicle was not going to be registered I was only looking to transfer ownership.
I had my truck title processing delayed for over 4 weeks due to a clerical error.
My issue was resolved finally after numerous trips to the tag office and phone calls to the county help line.
Not exactly the same issues your having but good luck, none the less.
