I mainly just want to work for Averitt since they have a Terminal right up the road in London. Also the school in London works with them.

Talk to the school then and ask where you should get the physical.

I think You have to disclose BP and CPAP. Those are the two big things they’re watching now.Best to be upfront about it. The anti- depressant isn’t tested for, that I know of. I’ve taken them in the past, never fail a drug test. They should really only be prescribed by a Psychiatrist IMO. Family Drs are handing them out like candy. Much like amphetamines were in 60s and 70s.Sometimes causing more problems for patients. Anxiety being a #1 symptom of depression, too many people are mis - diagnosed. IMO ,It seems to correlate with the latest drug to hit the market.

I think Averitt is a great choice. Especially where You live. I deal with them occasionally, picking up loads at their terminals, Good Folks.

Have you talked with your current medical provider about taking on a driving position? They may be able to change or modify some meds to ones less restricted by DOT.

They other question, since starting meds, did that cause weight gain? I have seen this happen to a few people. Could you get on a medically supervised weight loss program. It would take a bit of time, but put you in a better position to get employed as a driver.

460 at 6 5 would be a big boy. The only require ment is being able to literally fit in that drivers seat with a fist between your gut and steering wheel bottom at whatever adjustment it will be at. Probably moved all the way up.

Your blood pressure has to be 140/90, Im not sure about meds. I'll have to review that part of the rules. With you that big, you would be running that high anyhow. The sleep apnea you will need a downloaded datacard at demand of the DOT physical doctor to show that you are in compliance.

I tell you this much. You are going to be getting bigger on the bad junk food they serve on the road. Unless somehow you can stick with just the subway. I managed to lose weight myself but it took some years not too long ago, come down from 180 to 265 then back to 195. Ive got 10 more pounds to go. I am at a wall so to speak, it will take 4 more months to lose that 10.

Just before you go for your physical, get a compliance report on your cpap machine. Take it with you and if the examiner says something about sleep apnea, then show him the report. Do not volunteer any info. Only what is specifically asked for.

Yes, I cannot empahsie more what Kemosabi49 said.

You are asked a question and you limit your answer to Yes, or No. (THEN SHUT UP.)

Does your spouse kick you awake for snoring last night?

No. (Shut up, wait for the next question) That doc was not in bed with you two last night how would he know? ha...
