Yeah. But it wasn't water. About 30 miles away the injectors started leaking and the motor ran away just as I stopped on a ramp. Put it in gear and eased out the clutch to kill the motor. The shop was surprised the crankshaft was still good but they did replaced all the injectors and a sleeve.
It was in the winter and bad fuel meant no apu or bunk heater. I lucked out as there was a motel and a C-store at that exit.I was somewhat prepared in case something happened during the winter but not enough.
I have shut down an entire truck stop.
