Basically, they’re pushing to pass a bill that would allow automatic self driving trucks to be exempt from having to do things that only humans can do. Like no hours of service, if the truck breaks down, they don’t have to put triangles out, all sorts of other things. Why? Because of self driving truck can’t do these things so they want to eliminate these things for self driving trucks so there does not have to be a driver on the truck at all.

What they need to be doing is passing a bill about AI and automation and all of this that’s coming. They keep telling us it’s coming no matter what and it’s gonna be to our benefit, but I don’t see how. The law, needs to be something along…..were buying into this, technological outbreak, but no advancements can be implemented unless it is proven and shown to enhance human life. Not take away from it. If you’re gonna drive out an entire industry with self driving vehicles, then you need to show those people who are going to lose their sources of income how THEY are going to benefit from this or it cannot be implemented. Because according to everything I read about 90% of all humans on this earth are gonna lose their source of employment over the next 20 years or less. OK? Then what? What are all these people gonna do? Who’s gonna pay into Social Security? Before one job is taken with this garbage there needs to be questions answered, and that’s what the law itself should be.

We are being sold a load of crap that all this artificial intelligence is going to be to our benefit. And in someways, I can see definitely how it will be. Creating new medication’s, curing things like cancer, solving mysteries of the universe, having endless information at our fingertips etc. but achieving a point when it does basically everything that humans can do only better is not going to enhance human life. It’s going to take away from it. It’s going to serve only a few. And that’s what needs to be addressed.
