You nor your father could have spent any amount of money at an institution of higher learning and matched the education that you have received in the last year, it is something that can not be taught in school, I wish you success and prosperity, and in addition, I Hereby Dub Thee "A Trucker".

You seem to be at a cross-roads career wise in your thinking. Continue on, or seek another avenue ? I bet you leave the steering wheel behind and go into management. You have enough experience out here to make good decisions as a desk driver in an office.
Enjoyed your thoughts, we all have been there.Choose wisely, it is a long road either way.Last edited: Nov 3, 2012

As far as taking any jobs in dispatching or management, and being on a somewhat fixed route as he is, I would like to make one observation. It may be different these days but I had more than a few dispatchers figure mileage wrong because that shortcut "looked good on a map" or did not see or know about low bridges, road restrictions or other "hazards" that were to be encountered along the way. I understand that figuring in average miles per hour takes a lot of this into account but it may be an issue for someone who has only driven a limited route. The ones I really loved were the dispatchers that apparently thought there was some kind of magic button on the shifter that would shut down the governor and let me fly at speeds beyond those the truck was limited to.
I am not saying this would be the case here, only that given the relatively short amount of time on the road and the limited route and actual road knowledge, it would be a consideration as long as you are asking. -
I'm not exactly sure what that last post meant....
I did learn that a dedicated GM run suited me VERY VERY well.
Lockport, NY on the north end on Thursday afternoon and Shreveport, LA on the south end first thing Monday morning. Did it three times. On the third time my Freightshaker Autoshift failed btween the time I parked to go into the office to do the paperwork and when I came back out to leave.
Kinda tee'd me off. -
please tell me some of the names for bottom feeder company
