I jumped off a tall building, the breeze is nice. Will it hurt when I land?

If you use a CDL school's loan provider to get a CDL and then hire on to a company that pays you Tuition Reimbursement in addition to your wages for driving, nobody has an incentive to fire you. The most important goal is a steady job at an employer that is convenient, pays well, and has good working conditions. Would you pick a doctor based on which one has the most current magazines in the waiting room?

Focus on which trucking company is the best place FOR YOU to work. If that company has "free" CDL training, then take it. If they only hire newbies from a particular CDL school, then go there. If the trucking company requires a CDL school with X hours of instruction, find a CDL school that does that.

No company MAKES you stay with them. They only say you have to pay for your vastly overpriced education if you leave before the agreed upon time.. The companies state what their school costs so no one has an excuse of ignorance.

If you haven't done your research on the company don't complain that you got screwed.

ALL of you drivers complaining about pay really need some perspective. You can have a “good” warehouse job, driving a forklift for 23/hr, but get given only 33 hours. So then you need a second job. You aren’t hot enough to bartend, so you find part time work for 18/hr. Maybe stocking Walmart idfk. You end up making Schneider driver level money, but you still gotta pay rent, have no chance of advancement, and have to drive to all of your shifts. And this is average American income here. OR you could mess around in a truck all day making $30/hr wondering when you can park and play more Elden Ring. Hardest choice of the day is what Pilot to stop at for food. Tough choice lmao. If you sign a mega contract stop complaining and finish it.
