I'd take the team job for $500 a week just to get some experience. Probably not going to do any better than that for starters. My first job was horrible, but I took it anyway and kept putting in applications as I drove for that company. Soon, got a call from a boat factory, hauling boats 48 states and Canada. I took that job and quit the lousy job. That's what you should do with the low paying team job.

 

It’s probably time to paint or get off the ladder. There will never be a perfect job for someone new to the industry. Pick an employer and go to work.

Why on earth aren't you doing that, then? That's more than you're likely to make for a few years, if ever, as a truck driver. Plus you'll get the public sector benefits and pension, have a normal-person schedule, and be home daily.

Wut? If you school and training cannot be verified, a lot of training companies will not touch you.. did you tell her what race you were during the phone call... and how would not being able to certify a school be racist? What was the school and what were their certification process as it relates to hours of training time and course content?
