If there were any deer crossing signs in the area and you hit the deer it was a preventable accident because you should have know deer would be crossing there.
    Do I believe this?
    Absolutely NOT!!
But I had to say it before some other jack wagon who believes it says it lol.

    I find that humourous...
Those signs are placed in areas where a larger concentration of deer strikes have occurred.
Pretty sure the deer can't read or adhere to those crossing signs.
Just because you see a crossing sign doesn't allow you to see farther or stop quicker.
Nor does it change the unpredictable behavior of those going across the road.
I run in the 4,5,6,7th highest deer strike states and average 1 hit per year.
I've hit em on rural backroads and on densely populated interstates thru metro cities.
    Back in 2013 I hit 4.
If the company made the drivers shoulder a deer hit as preventable we would have no drivers left.

About 50/50 for towable damage vs being able to continue the trip.
We simply snap photos and make the call if we are able to keep truckin.
Between the fiberglass and plastic even a doe will cause severe looking damage.
    Worst states for deer collisions

No big deal. If you drive long enough you're going to hit critters.
What I want to know is did you save enough of it to make a stew or, failing that, some jerky? No point letting good meat go to waste.

Deer cause lots of damage to the "motoring public". My neighbor has a body shop, says he loves deer. Why is it that some hit deer all the time, others have never? Just the way it is , i suppose. Oh and if you shoot a deer out of season that's a crime. (Nasty poacher) but when hitting one, then its your deer.

    Yup.
Years ago I whacked one in western Wisconsin during a snow and a sheriff pulled up behind me.
The deer was still alive so he put it down and offered it to me, and if I wanted to go into town the would tag it for me.
    I declined...what was I going to do w a fresh kill in a semi...lol

Deer jerky is like Lay’s potato chips. Nobody can have just one. :D

Darn those maurading deer with baseball bats.

Normaly it is you that hits the deer. Not the deer attacking the vehicle. Learn something new.
