Let me guess. You are the Dead thread awakener guy? Always a dollar short and 3 days late. It's ok. I'm sure there is a regulation that says "owners of trucks can make up their own rules" I just haven't got to that section sorry. :)

    Really?

EOBR is Electronic On Board Recording otherwise known as E-Logs. The new bill refers to them as Electronic Logging Device ELD.

    From the link I provided:

A new update was made to the DOT’s significant rule making document over the weekend, and it appears to be another 2-week delay to the details of the ELD mandate being published.

Not yet, once they get elogs in they just don't stop adding new rules and regulations and functions to your. Recording device, at least that's how it went in Europe , I garantee the us will follow, imagine being a hard cash strapped dot officer, now you have the ability to find offences for a full year previous right there on the side of the freeway....what a cash making machine!

EOBR records logs, speed, acceleration, hard braking and corning, E-logs are just logs, I read this all on the fmsa.gov web site, EOBR has been beat in court already, so under MAP 21, they renamed it and changed it to E logs, EOBR is like a(black box recording device) that there trying to put in all new made cars.
