I just inherited a customized 1972 Freightliner Cabover. Help?

    It's a figure of speech regarding to the unpleasantness of driving a cabover. Has nothing to do with the piece of glass.

    Oh i thought it was something about the split lol. Yeah i heard they're uncomfortable all over. Uncomfortable to drive and to sleep in.

    I've always been a "conventional" fan, but had to drive cabovers on several occasions. A setback axle Freightliner I drove was a poor truck, but the one I did like, or put up with, was an IH 4070 Transtar. Its spring ride rode rough, but great for deliveries. Split windshields were used up until last year, with the Pete 389, now replaced by the 589, I read.
