I just obtained my class A's. I've tried getting on with my top 5 choices with no success. I also have a B.A. in Business Administration ### Laude. Before the cdl's, I applied to, called, or sent a resume to more places than I can remember. I want to drive. I don't mind being away from home. I've done it. I don't mind hard work. I've been there. I'm not the man I'd like to be, but thank God I'm not the one I used to be. I'm a faithful husband, a loving father of four, and a loyal friend. I always try to do the next right thing...practice integrity...Ohh...I'm also a felon. It'll be 7 years in March since I've been in any kind of trouble. I fell down...a lot in my life, but I'm back up, dusted off, and cleaned up. I can supply my resume, references, my entire criminal history...whatever. I can even get refresher courses before starting. Is there anyone out there that will give me a shot? I won't dissappoint, and will come in knowing I'll have to prove myself. I'll also be more grateful than the next guy because it's so hard for me to find work. If you can't hire me, perhaps you could at least point me in the right direction to look. Either way, thanks for taking the time to read this.
Respectfully,
Ryan

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
I just need a break man!

Look for local work, there are lots of driving jobs.
Cement truck
Dump truck
garbage truck
Roll off truck
Tow truck
You need a year or three of seat time to get on with the better companies.
You need that Felony 10 years behind you.
You need to NOT collect ANY tickets or wrecks while you get your seat time.Ryan_Anteck Thanks this. -
Many companies a felony is 7 years and you are almost there. Instead of applying to individual companies put your resume on careerbuilder.com and 3rd party truck recruiting websites. You'll reach many more employers that way. But I wouldn't expect anything to happen until March. Smaller companies are more willing to accept felons but don't have time or the resources to train.

Tried that site man, they must be having problems. It wouldn't let me register, but I'll try again later. I appreciate the lead. Take care.

You may want to try Werner, us express, Schneider. Try the to see what they say. Just get 2 years under your belt then sky's the limit. Don't do a lease purchase with them that will jus set you back. Go make the money and those 2 years will fly by.
