If he ordered it today, it won’t arrive for Six months or more .
    Maybe a year .

I don't consider a loud noise and autonomous braking a very good "collision avoidance system". When I was training, my instructor was driving one night and the buzzer scared the crap out of him. So much so that he jerked the wheel and almost rolled us. They should name it something else, like "WAKE UP IDIOT". Tesla has the same problem with their "auto pilot" system that really isn't an auto pilot, and may steer you into a wall or disabled vehicle at high speed with no warning.

Good luck convincing the tech dependants of that.

Werner probably thought the same thing when they let this case go to the jury. It is now in the appeals court.

Werner Enterprises says it will appeal $90M verdict

That's a 5+ year old case. Wonder how it turned out.

Yeah that was my take on reading the article too. Where are they finding these people for jury duty these days?

Exactly, I'm being forced to act way ahead here. The truck (a Kenworth T680) will be arriving in late November to December. And I believe I was lucky to get that date.

Well you get 12 people who are not smart enough to get out of jury duty .

I think there’s a thread on here of drivers trying to figure out ways to get out of jury duty .

You shouldn’t try to get out…do your part.

i served on a jury a couple years ago where a lady got rear ended. She got hurt, but made the mistake of going for “Lifetime” damages. Here’s the thing, there was a surgery she had not had yet that could possibly fix her. She felt the pain wasn’t bad enough yet to risk the surgery. When asked she said maybe in a year or two i’ll get it.

big mistake…she got notta. Not a darn thing!! Man you should have seen the look on everybody’s face when we read the verdict. Had she just went for pain & suffering we would have paid her, she did get hurt. Her mistake was going for lifetime damages when she hadn’t done all she could to be better yet.

it felt to us like she wanted to grab that payday then get the surgery & live out her life healthy & rich. It didn’t work out for her.
