A good pair of boots with a inch heel square will take care of that.

I absolutely agree, no horsies allowed until you are off that clutch.

The fastest way to buck a truck is being in gear too high for the situation. You are literally forcing the engine to stop turning over against a load that will not be moved. (Via gear ratio that is not enough to move it.)

Finally but not least why short yourself at Class B? Go for the full A.

From a dead stop. Push clutch all the way to the floor, count to 5, use two fingers and thumb on shifter ( like your going to pitch a ball) move the shifter towards the gear you want, like second, when you feel the shifter start to resist, ease up on the clutch, it should slide into gear at that point. Continue to let the clutch out as you ease off the brakes. The truck should almost start to roll, ease on the throttle like you have an egg under your foot. It should be a slow smooth roll. When you go to the next gear, use the same baseball grip on the shifter, put pressure like you want to take it out of gear, foot off the throttle, ease the clutch down a bit, it will come out of gear, let the clutch off move the shifter toward the next gear, like you did to start, ease the clutch in just a bit, it will drop into gear, off clutch, ease on throttle. It will take a few tries to get it, just go easy and try to be smooth, no need to slam or force the shift. Better to go a bit slower than rush. The transmission will like you better. Keep you RPM down, don’t run it up to 2200, shift around 1500 for the first 2 or 3 gears.
