My dad grew up during the Great Depression. He is still in good health at 91. He remembers the milk truck with solid tires, electric trolley ( Elizabeth NJ). He learned to drive on a Model A and his first car was a 31 chevy. He is amazed at how far we came.
Don't take it personally, but we're back to square one with electric trolleys and Model A cars. Now they call it Tesla Model S, 3, X, Y etc. Except for the batteries (highly questionable expense with trade wars and such) and self-driving capabilities (self destruction for "guinea pigs" people) we're not far ahead.
